The event will be in Atibaia City. Atibaia is a city near to São Paulo. There is no airport in Atibaia city which demand any fly to reach São Paulo city. The Atibaia city is located in a mountain region and it is one of the favorite tourist destinations of people from different parts of the world. Located 64 kilometers north away from Sao Paulo and 88 kilometers south-east from Campinas, The city is located on a strategic highway crossing: the junction of D. Pedro I Road and Fernão Dias Road. There are direct accesses to important cities, such as São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Campinas. The climate of Atibaia is said one of the best climate quality in the world. This excellent climate allows anyone to enjoy many adventure activities such as climbing and horseback riding, among others.

São Paulo Airports
São Paulo has two airports: Guarulhos/Cumbica (GRU) and Congonhas (CGH). International flights arrive in Guarulhos Airport while most domestic flights arrive in Congonhas. The GRU airport is located in Guarulhos, a city near to São Paulo and in the north side of the Metropolitan area. This airport is the nearest airpoirt of Atibaia. It is about 1 hour of car travelling without crossing the metropolitan area.
The CGH airport is in São Paulo city near to south side of metropolitan area. It is a little bit far from Atibaia and demand to cross the metropolitan area.
There is also a transfer from one airport to another airport (between GRU and CGH).

By taxi
In Guarulhos Airport (GRU), there is the Guarucoop taxi service. The service desk (Guarucoop Kioski) is located outside the airport in front of Arrivals Terminal exit.You can pre-pay for the service with credit cards (AMEX, VISA and MASTERCARD) and the price is tabulated. The price to go to Atibaia by taxi is approximately R$ 200,00 (US 125,00)
By car
If you intend to rent a car in Guarulhos Airport, the next steps can help you to reach the event I Atibaia City. If you do not know any São Paulo avenue, we encourage you to rent a car with GPS.
When you leave the airport, enter in the Dutra Road to São Paulo direction. Remember that you are in Guarulhos, which is a city close to São Paulo. Then you must start follow any sinalization indicating São Paulo and Fernao Dias Road (SP 381).
After reach Pres Dutra, you will drive 8 Km (5 miles) to reach Fernão Dias Road entrance (Exit 227). Stay on the right side of the Dutra Road and follow Fernão Dias / Belo Horizonte direction.
Then you will drive 57 Km (35 miles) direct to Atibaia.
By Shuttle Transfer
The local organizing committee is scheduling shuttles from GRU Airport to the Hotel during the arrival time and from Hotel to GRU Airport in the last days of the event. When filling out the forms for the Taua hotel reservation or room sharing, please provide your flight information so we can use it to do the schedule.
Reaching Sao Paulo (P&S School) from Guarulhos (GRU) Airport

In Guarulhos Airport (GRU), there is taxi service (e.g., Guarucoop company - http://www.guarucoop.com.br/). The service desk (Guarucoop Kioski) is located outside the airport in front of the Arrivals Terminal exit. You can pre-pay for the service with credit card (AMEX, VISA and MASTERCARD) and the price is tabulated. The price to go to Sao Paulo by taxi is approximately R$ 140,00 (US 70,00)
By car
Not recommended if you have never drove a car in Sao Paulo. Guarulhos is next to Sao Paulo. However, Sao Paulo is one of the biggest city in the world, it has a caotic traffic like many othermetropolis in the world. The directions signs are all in portuguese. If you REALLY wat to rent a car to reach Sao Paulo and USP for P&S School from GRU, the following tips will help you.
We encourage you to rent a car with GPS. When you leave the airport, enter in the Dutra Road to São Paulo direction. Remember that you are in Guarulhos, which is a city close to São Paulo. Then you must start following the sinalizations indicating São Paulo. Drive direct to MARGINAL TIETÊ avenue (13 Km). MARGINAL TIETE is a big avenue next to a big river. Drive all over MARGINAL TIETÊ by following (always) the sign to MARGINAL PINHEIROS avenue. MARGINAL TIETE has many entrances, lines and exits, be careful to drive direct to MARGINAL PINHEIROS (aprox. 17Km). After reach MARGINAL PINHEIROS, you must drive 6 Km to reach USP campus.
